    Agent Celeste takes us through a typical day at her school in  McAllen, TX, and her reasons for doing a Guerilla Haiku program in her community:     My alarm beeps to wake me up in the morning and I lazily shut it off. In 2007 a consortium of schools on the Upper East Side got together to DO SOMETHING as school communities to protect the environment. 6 years later over 2500 schools are members of the Green Schools Alliance, making an international impact spearheaded by students, teachers and parents across the globe. Inspiring, no? The Lycee Francais de NY hosted this year’s Green Schools Alliance Earth Day Conference with sponsor, Veggiecation, an amazing organization dedicated to nutrition education for youth. Spring Event Dates

Spring’s emerging – but a March spent further South – Speeds it all along. Oh dear, Ladies and Gentlemen, winter is purportedly in full swing (though you wouldn’t think so with all of the no-jacket wearing happening in the Northeast right now), and Guerilla Haiku is gearing up for it’s second season of haiku adventures.  Hooray!
