JT called me bright and early the morning of our big event in NYC last May.
“Liz and I are in town, what are you up to?” he boomed in his jolly voice. Did I have an option for him! Two hours later he and Liz became members of Team West Village in the most ambitious Guerilla Haiku Event yet organized. They covered their neighborhood, involving a ton of random New Yorkers in Haikuing (including the two Argentinian basketball players featured here), and by closing ceremony, they were hooked:
“You are coming to Dallas,” JT stated. He wasn’t kidding.
JT is the President of TeamBuilding USA , a corporate team building and management training business that has created innovative events for top companies across the country. I have been lucky enough to observe and assist some of his events on the East Coast, and as Guerilla Haiku has grown, he has been a model, as well as a source of advice and guidance.
This December, with the generous sponsorship of TeamBuilding USA, Guerilla Haiku is heading to Dallas, and from there to Austin, San Antonio and McAllen in the first GHM: Texas Tour!

The Haiku Mistress
Actor and educator, Caley Vickerman, discovered haiku in 6th grade and they remain to this day a favorite method of expression; simple, precise and immeasurably powerful. It became her fervent wish to create events that celebrated haiku (and humanity). Thus the Guerilla Haiku Movement was born! …And the Haiku Mistress gratefully continues to celebrate!
