English Language Learners make tremendous Guerilla Haikuists!

A group of courageous design students, all english language learners at the New School this summer, joined me in a morning of haiku adventures all about the Union Square/Washington Square neighborhood. Wave sounds overhead - But it isn’t the ocean - the Tides of Transit On a bright and shining Saturday in Fort Greene Park we assembled- a crew of chalk revelers, most of whom had ne’er chalked before. We caught on quick. Between the farmer’s market, the touch football game, and the kids on wheeled objects, we were kept very busy. Then we divided into our GHM record 6 Neighborhood teams; Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Fort Greene, Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Williamsburg.
