Poems on a curb – To say something not yet said – And then to listen
September 17th, 2011 @ Veteran’s Park – Kite Flyers Space.
The glorious sun shone all over Milwaukee, our 3rd stop on the Midwest tour. We enjoyed a great turnout of folks young and slightly older, and both known and unknown.
Our adventure began at Fondy Market, a remarkable farmers market right in the heart of Milwaukee distributing fresh fruits and veggies to folks from the neighborhood right around Fond du Lac Avenue.
From there we travelled to Veteran’s Park where groups dispersed to 4 neighborhoods; encountered festivals, and poets, and a number of acrobats- all of whom shared haiku with our intrepid Agents.
Thanks to the Kirschners, the Ketterhagens-turning-Engdahls (and those already Engdahls), the Bender, those that share my Alma Mater, the Luebkes, Mitch Teich, and the new friends who joined us on our exploits!
The Flickr Gallery will direct you to each neighborhood slideshow. Top photos of the day are featured below!
