Icy lemon treat – so very delicious and – very good to eat!
A hot day for Haiku in Washington D.C.
Over 100 degrees and our clothes clung to our heavy skin with even the minutest movement. This did not deter the intrepid D.C. Guerilla Haiku-ers who made their way slowly but surely through the Mall area.
Baby Henry, at 5 months old, became our first infant participant- and was indeed a model of baby-bahavior.
We had a few run-ins with National Park police and took many water breaks, but left in our wake a host of haiku for everyone’s viewing enjoyment.

The Haiku Mistress
Actor and educator, Caley Vickerman, discovered haiku in 6th grade and they remain to this day a favorite method of expression; simple, precise and immeasurably powerful. It became her fervent wish to create events that celebrated haiku (and humanity). Thus the Guerilla Haiku Movement was born! …And the Haiku Mistress gratefully continues to celebrate!
