Wave sounds overhead - But it isn’t the ocean - the Tides of Transit On a bright and shining Saturday in Fort Greene Park we assembled- a crew of chalk revelers, most of whom had ne’er chalked before. We caught on quick. Between the farmer’s market, the touch football game, and the kids on wheeled objects, we were kept very busy. The Haiku Mistress
Actor and educator, Caley Vickerman, discovered haiku in 6th grade and they remain to this day a favorite method of expression; simple, precise and immeasurably powerful. It became her fervent wish to create events that celebrated haiku (and humanity). Thus the Guerilla Haiku Movement was born! …And the Haiku Mistress gratefully continues to celebrate!
