Welcome all Diners – Tonight’s a little diff’rent – Guerilla Haiku!

Every two months, St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church hosts a communal dinner for the entire Five Corners/Journal Square neighborhood in Jersey City.  All are welcome.  And 100 community members show up to share in a three course meal together. It is a tremendous opportunity for connection and celebration.

They have collaborated with Sustainable Jersey City to create an Eco-Community in the Five Corners; starting a rain garden, promoting murals and artistic endeavors in their spaces, and want to commit to further action with community feedback.

Enter Guerilla Haiku.  At the Community Dinner in February, Guerilla Haiku facilitated a set of activities to involve the dinner-goers in conversations around the kind of neighborhood community they want to see develop in the Five Corners. Amazing discussions ensued.  For the 2nd Community Dinner of this series, the conversation continues focusing on themes from the 1st dinner and how we can see change happen around those themes!

If you are a Jersey City resident of the Journal Square neighborhood, please come to eat and discuss with us (in haiku form), your feedback is essential for the next stage of growth in the Five Corners!

See you there!
